Capturing his life experiences, artist Juan Farias manipulates an array of thick lines, rigid paint strokes and splashes of brilliant luminous paint onto the canvas and wood by using acrylic paint. The viewer's attention is immediately focused on the searing emotion he demonstrates with great intensity and spontaneity in his paintings. One is welcomed into the artist's world to search for the ultimate expression of a mood or emotion the artist transmits in his works and in the application of his paint - vigorous and enthusiastic, yet applied with elegance and panache.  He masters to pour his sense of soul in a formless abstract, in turn expressing his spirit.

Farias has been painting for over ten years and has exhibited his work at the Southwest Museum of Art in Corpus Christi, Texas, The Museum of Art in Austin, Guadalupe Visual Art, Centro Aztlan, & The Gallista Gallery in San Antonio, Texas. His works are currently displayed at Casa Salazar Art Gallery in downtown San Antonio, Texas, at 216 East Houston Street.
