| Views from the Top of the Majestic
Tower !! |
This photo is taken facing directly east, looking
down Houston Street. The top floor of the 10-story Mid City Garage
is visible at the bottom of the photo. Tenants have direct access
to the parking structure through the 6th floor of the Majestic Tower. The
Main Post Office Building, in the center of the photo, marks the intersection
of Houston, Broadway, and Alamo Streets. The top crest of the
Alamo itself is just visible through the surrounding buildings.
This
photo shows the view looking toward the southeast. The Nix Hospital is
the tall beige building at the left; the Alamodome and the Tower of the
Americas appear just beyond it; and the Palacio del Rio marks the edge
of La Villita, where a Night in Old San Antonio (NIOSA) takes place every
April celebrating the anniversary of Texas independence. The building
with the red roof at the bottom of the photo is La Mansion Hotel, fronting
the famous San Antonio Riverwalk, which winds past attractions such as
Planet Hollywood, Fat Tuesday's, the Hard Rock Cafe, The County Line BBQ,
the Hyatt, and hundreds of other restaurants, shops, and nightclubs. For
